Six Sigma Assessments

You may have read a few books on Six Sigma, or seen an article in a trade rag. Six Sigma is all the rage, but you may be asking yourself, “Can my organization pull it off?” or “Will the savings come as advertised”?

The Six Sigma Assessment by RPMC is designed to help answer your questions about Six Sigma and how it can work for your organization to improve operational processes, reduce overall cost and provide a method to continuously improve the key drivers of the process. Through rigorous questionnaires and interview techniques, we will learn how your organization does business today and offer the strategic path towards the future.

Assessments are not designed to make Six Sigma fit for everyone. In fact, may organizations will choose to delay or reconsider their Six Sigma deployment plans after a thorough review of the requirements to successfully implement Six Sigma.

One key driver to the organizational deployment of Six Sigma is metrics and the ability to capture metrics from processes today. If the organization can develop process delivered measurements of the components of the process, Six Sigma implementation may be feasible. For many organizations looking to Six Sigma, this requirement causes either stark denial or a pause to consider precursor steps to a Six Sigma deployment. Having the means to measure your process, having a defined process and working with a stable process are some of the starting points for considering a Six Sigma implementation. RPMC can work with your organization to determine if the pieces are in place to achieve success from your implementation of Six Sigma.

In the case of organizations with existing Six Sigma implementations, RPMC can assess the effectiveness of the current processes and provide a strategic and tactical plan to drive the results that you are looking for from Six Sigma.
